Being a freight broker is a rewarding and relaxing job. Most freight brokers work from home according to their own schedule working on the logistics and planning needed in transportation. As a freight broker, you'll be the middle man for the shippers/carriers ( the trucking companies ) and the manufactorers. As their middleman, you will handle the contracts between them. The shipper pays you ( the broker ) for locating a carrier and contracting the load for the manufactorer. The broker then pays the carrier for actually moving the load.
